The Hellenic National Public Health Organization (EODY) is investigating a surge of gastroenteritis cases in Chania, Greece, following hundreds of confirmed cases since October 14. In collaboration with Michalis Zervakis, the rector of the Technical University of Crete, a questionnaire will be distributed to students to identify potential common sources of infection and implement necessary measures. All students, regardless of whether they fell ill, will participate, and data will be analyzed by specialists from the agency’s Department of Foodborne and Waterborne Diseases.
