The contract for the Local Urban Development Plan of Ioannina has been signed, aiming to address zoning and spatial challenges in the area. Launched in July 2023 and funded by the Recovery Fund, the project encompasses all municipal units. It will establish land use regulations, building limits, infrastructure networks, and climate change measures. Former minister Stavros Kalogiannis emphasized the plan’s significance as a ‘unique opportunity’ for the region, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts for its successful implementation.
