Ireland to Intervene in ICJ Cases and Seek G20 Participation

Ireland’s Cabinet, led by Tánaiste Micheál Martin, will discuss intervention in two International Court of Justice cases: South Africa’s case against Israel regarding Gaza and The Gambia’s case against Myanmar over Rohingya rights. Additionally, Ireland aims to join South Africa’s G20 Presidency and establish a partnership with the World Food Programme worth €105 million. Concurrently, talks between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are underway to form a new government program, with informal discussions reported as positive.
