The IRIS payment system is set to raise its daily transaction limit from €500 to €1000, allowing individuals to send up to €500 to other individuals (P2P) and another €500 for payments to freelancers (P2B). This change, announced by the Board of Directors of DIAS S.A., aims to enhance usability for both consumers and professionals, with implementation expected by mid-2025. The IRIS system has already seen significant growth, with transactions exceeding €6 billion in 2024, reflecting its acceptance in the Greek market.
