Irish Defense Monitors Russian Naval Vessels in Atlantic Operations

The Irish Defence Forces deployed a C295 observation plane twice to monitor Russian naval activity in the Atlantic, particularly the warship Admiral Golovko, equipped with hypersonic missiles. Accompanied by a refueling tanker and the intelligence ship Yantar, the convoy navigated through the English Channel and into the Atlantic. The Irish military, along with British, French, and US forces, tracked the vessels, which featured advanced capabilities for monitoring undersea cables. The Irish authorities emphasized their commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests and maintaining a continuous surveillance presence.
