Irish Department of Defence Expands Air Corps with Acquisition of New Helicopters

The Irish Department of Defence has finalized a deal with Airbus Helicopters UK Limited to purchase four Airbus H145M helicopters for €91.7 million, aimed at enhancing pilot training and operational capabilities of the Air Corps. The helicopters, set to be delivered in early 2027, will modernize the existing fleet and improve support for various missions, including intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. This investment is part of a broader commitment to strengthen the Defence Forces, which includes the recent acquisition of a Falcon 6X government jet.
