Irish Motorists Face Increased Enforcement with Over 2,300 Speeding Offences Detected

In Co Cavan, a driver was caught speeding at 141km/h in a 60km/h zone as part of a Christmas road traffic enforcement operation by An Garda Síochána. Since launching the operation, which runs until January 6, over 2,300 speeding offences were recorded. The week also saw one fatality, 20 serious collisions, and 134 arrests for driving under the influence. Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant during the busy holiday period.
