The Israeli military announced today the deaths of seven soldiers, including four in Lebanon, marking the first military casualties since the ceasefire with Hezbollah took effect on November 27. Three additional soldiers died in combat in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of Israeli military fatalities in the area to 384 since the ground offensive began on October 27, 2023. The ceasefire agreement requires both the Israeli military and Hezbollah to withdraw from the border areas, but violations of the ceasefire have been reported.
