The Italian Senate has officially established a National Urban Peripheries Day, approved unanimously by 68 senators and set to take place each year on June 24. The date honors the memory of Fortuna Loffredo, a young girl who tragically lost her life in 2014. The decision follows a growing concern over the rising number of designated commemorative days, with one senator pledging to no longer support such measures.
