Italy Expands Christmas Bonus Program to Support Workers
The Italian government has broadened its Christmas bonus initiative to provide financial assistance to 4.5 million workers, including single parents and families with dependent children. Initially aimed at a million families, the eligibility now excludes the requirement for a spouse. The move, described by Deputy Minister Maurizio Leo, is intended to stimulate holiday spending during a financially taxing season. As the government prepares for legislative discussions, Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti emphasizes the priority of tax cuts for the middle class, dependent on upcoming financial resources.
