French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has created new liturgical garments for the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, scheduled for December 2024. Known for his colorful designs, de Castelbajac aims to reflect simplicity and universal language in the vestments, which will be used for various major Catholic celebrations through 2025. This marks de Castelbajac’s third collaboration with the church, following his previous projects in 1987 and 1997. The garments blend contemporary techniques with traditional craftsmanship, symbolizing hope and renewal for Notre-Dame.
