Jordan has called on its citizens to leave Syria as soon as possible due to escalating security issues in the neighboring country. A spokesperson from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry announced that a crisis management team is coordinating efforts for the safe repatriation of Jordanians from Syria. Additionally, Iraq has urged its citizens in Syria who wish to return home to contact its embassy in Damascus.
