Kamala Harris’s Campaign Strategy Falls Short Among Women Voters
Despite a strategic focus on women’s issues, particularly reproductive rights, Kamala Harris’s campaign did not achieve the expected turnout from women voters. Polls indicated a crucial gender gap; however, Harris’s support among women was insufficient to secure a victory. Preliminary data shows her advantage among women was 10 points, notably lower than Joe Biden’s margin in the 2020 election. Additionally, the Democrats experienced a concerning decline among Latino women and failed to attract non-college educated women, who predominantly favored Donald Trump. Harris had aimed to leverage abortion rights, but this did not convert into electoral support.
