Rugby star Kevin Sinfield expressed feeling ‘battered’ after successfully finishing a challenging 230-mile run in memory of his late teammate Rob Burrow, who passed away from motor neurone disease. Sinfield completed his ‘Running Home for Christmas’ challenge, which included seven ultra marathons in seven days, raising over £1 million for MND charities. Despite a serious calf injury, he persevered, driven by emotional encounters with the MND community and the memory of Burrow, who he had a close friendship with during their rugby careers.
