The activist group Kick Out Zwarte Piet (KOZP) has decided not to protest at the upcoming Sinterklaas celebrations this year. This decision follows commitments from nearly thirty municipalities to make their events more inclusive. KOZP has previously highlighted issues with the portrayal of traditional helpers and plans to address concerns regarding the Sinterklaasjournaal’s representation, which they believe still reflects outdated practices.
