King Willem-Alexander Attends Auschwitz Liberation Commemoration in Poland

In January, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, along with Queen Máxima, Crown Princess Amalia, and Prime Minister Mark Rutte, will attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. This event, taking place on January 27, marks the arrival of Soviet troops at the camp during World War II. It will be Crown Princess Amalia’s first attendance at such a commemoration, where Holocaust survivors and former prisoners will also be present.
