Former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis emphasized the significant and longstanding contribution of SEKE to agricultural production and social responsibility in Thrace during an event in Xanthi. He noted that SEKE fosters an economic cycle benefiting all involved parties and highlighted the establishment of the Alexandros Baltatzis Foundation, which supports health, education, sports, scientific research, and environmental initiatives in the local community. The foundation awarded scholarships worth €80,000 across three sectors and aims to promote equality and cooperation among Christian and Muslim tobacco producers.
