Kostas Tsiaras Discusses Reforms in Agricultural Organization OPKEPE
In a recent interview, Greece’s Minister of Rural Development and Food, Kostas Tsiaras, outlined his commitment to reforming the OPKEPE organization to ensure transparency and justice in the distribution of EU funds. He emphasized the ongoing measures to stabilize the organization while addressing the impacts of livestock diseases and the country’s response to climate change. Tsiaras noted that compensation payments for livestock culling are underway and that a new legislative framework for the Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) is being developed to tackle contemporary challenges, including water supply issues.
