La Géode in Paris Reopens After Six-Year Renovation with Enhanced Imax Experience
La Géode, the iconic hemispherical cinema located in Paris’ Parc de La Villette, has reopened on December 17 after six years of renovation. Known for attracting around 25 million visitors since its inception, the cinema features a new Imax Laser 4K dome projector, promising sharper images and improved sound. The revamped programming includes daytime documentaries and evening film screenings, showcasing titles like ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ and various documentaries about human anatomy and dinosaurs. The cinema had been closed since 2018 for renovations aimed at revitalizing its appeal amid growing competition.
