A protest organized by labor unions is taking place at the statue of Eleftherios Venizelos in central Thessaloniki. Workers, retirees, and students demand increased wages and pensions, the signing of collective labor agreements, and the elimination of specific consumption taxes on energy and VAT on essential goods such as food. They are also calling for public and free healthcare for all.
