In a collaborative effort to enhance environmental awareness, Larissa’s Mayor Thanasis Mamakkos announced a tree planting event scheduled for Sunday. The initiative, supported by ‘Aegean Motorway’, aims to transform an 8-acre lot on Theofrastou Street into a lush green space, featuring 130 new trees including sycamores and maples, along with a modern irrigation system. Mayor Mamakkos emphasized the importance of urban greenery for improving air quality and promoting biodiversity, marking this project as a significant step towards a sustainable and greener future for the city.
