Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati urged Syrian refugees to return to their homeland following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad. Speaking at a political symposium in Rome, Mikati highlighted that Syrian refugees comprise one-third of Lebanon’s population, creating immense pressure on the country’s resources and exacerbating economic challenges. He called for international support, particularly from Europe, to facilitate the safe return of refugees and recovery efforts in stable areas of Syria.
