Lebanon has officially expressed a desire to improve its relations with Syria, marking its first communication to the new authority in Damascus. Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib conveyed this message during a call with his Syrian counterpart, Assaad Hassan al-Sibani. Meanwhile, an Iraqi delegation, including intelligence chief Hamid al-Satri, discussed recent developments and border security with Syrian officials, following the recent overthrow of President Bashar al-Assad.
