Lebanon’s Airport Operations Unaffected Amid Israeli Strikes
Lebanon’s international airport remains operational despite Israeli airstrikes near Beirut. Transport Minister Ali Hamie confirmed flights are proceeding normally, although a nearby heater factory was significantly damaged. The strikes follow escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah since late September, with the Israeli military issuing evacuation orders for certain neighborhoods. Despite the ongoing conflict, airport officials reported only minor damage to airport facilities. The rising violence has resulted in over 2,600 deaths in Lebanon as reported by Health Minister Firass Abiad.
