Lee Anderson Issues Apology Following Incident with Security Guard
Lee Anderson, the Reform UK MP for Ashfield, has apologized to the House of Commons and a security officer after being found in breach of Parliament’s bullying and harassment policy. The incident involved Anderson swearing at the guard when asked to show his pass while entering the Parliamentary estate in November 2023. Despite initially denying the allegations, he later acknowledged using inappropriate language, attributing it to ‘challenging personal circumstances.’ Following the ruling from the Independent Expert Panel, Anderson expressed his commitment to ensuring such behavior will not recur in the future.
