The municipality of South Pilion has filed an appeal against the environmental approval for a wind power plant project, citing legal irregularities and a lack of local consent. The project, which plans to establish a 14 MW wind farm and a substation, has met with significant opposition from the local government, as it disregarded several negative opinions from relevant bodies. Mayor Michalis Mitzikou emphasized their commitment to protecting the region from wind parks and has urged higher authorities to respect the local community’s wishes.
