The French charity Les Restos du cœur has launched its 40th annual campaign, announcing an increase in assistance for the homeless, single-parent families, and children. In the 2023-2024 campaign, they served 1.3 million people, with a significant portion under 25. The organization faced challenges due to modified income criteria, resulting in a decrease in meals distributed. Nevertheless, financial support from the public and the government has turned a previous deficit into a surplus, ensuring the charity’s sustainability for the near future.
