Ludovic Bertin has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 18-year-old Victorine Dartois, who was killed in 2020. The court found that he had strangled and drowned her after a failed attempt to rape her. Bertin, 29, had admitted to his involvement during police custody, and this case follows a separate incident involving another sexual assault from 2018. The prosecution sought a longer minimum detention period of 25 years.
