Lyon’s Festival of Lights Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Nostalgic Installations
The 25th edition of Lyon’s Festival of Lights launched on December 5, featuring both beloved past installations and new artistic expressions. Mayor Grégory Doucet emphasized the importance of honoring the festival’s legacy. Notable works include Jacques Rival’s ‘I Love Lyon’ and the environmental installation ‘Coral Ghosts’ by Philipp Frank. This year, the festival drew over 2 million visitors, celebrating a tradition that began as a tribute to the Virgin Mary during the plague in the 17th century.
