Maïra Myroianni, Secretary General for Diaspora Hellenism and Public Diplomacy, visited Venice to participate in the Venice Club’s Plenary session, addressing EU communication strategies. During her visit, she met with prominent Greek figures, including the Italian Metropolitan Polykarp and the President of the Greek Orthodox Community in Venice, Dimitris Zafeiropoulos, discussing the promotion of the Greek language and cultural identity in Italy. Myroianni also visited the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies and engaged in discussions about strengthening Greek studies abroad.
