A significant corruption case in Halkidiki, Greece, has resulted in the arrest of 21 individuals, including senior officials from urban planning departments, a former mayor, and private engineers. The arrests followed an extensive investigation by the Hellenic Police’s Internal Affairs Service, uncovering a network that allegedly solicited bribes for approving illegal construction activities and permits.
