Major Disruption on Europe’s Busiest Train Line Due to Upgrades
The high-speed rail line connecting Paris to Lyon and Marseille is suspended until November 13 due to essential maintenance work. Travelers on this popular route face significant delays, as all trains have been halted since the night of November 8. Passengers expressed frustration over the timing, particularly during a long holiday weekend. To facilitate the upgrades, 1,000 technicians are working to modernize the signaling system, aiming to increase capacity and improve service on this crucial route. Only 30% of trains are expected to operate during this period.
