Major Drug Trafficking Case Sees 18 Convicted in UK

Eighteen members of a criminal organization have been sentenced to prison terms of up to 32 years in the largest drug trafficking case recorded in the UK, according to police. The group imported heroin, cocaine, and cannabis from the Netherlands between 2015 and 2018. The National Crime Agency (NCA) unveiled details following the conclusion of two lengthy trials. The ringleader, Paul Green, received a 32-year sentence, while the group’s accountant, Steven Martin, was sentenced to 28 years. The drugs, valued between 2.41 billion and possibly 8.4 billion euros, were concealed among other goods.
