Major Rule Changes Approved for Gaelic Football Ahead of 2025 Season

Gaelic football is set to undergo significant changes in 2025 after the GAA’s Special Congress overwhelmingly approved 18 rule modifications proposed by Jim Gavin’s Football Review Committee. With all motions receiving at least 73% support, the new regulations will affect inter-county and club levels, including unique kick-out rules, advances for goalkeeper passes, and a revamped scoring structure. These changes aim to modernize the game and enhance its competitiveness, with the rules taking effect for the Allianz League soon.
