Man Arrested for Fraud in Connection with Yvonne Fletcher Justice Campaign
A 69-year-old man has been arrested in north London on suspicion of fraud related to a campaign seeking justice for Yvonne Fletcher, a police officer killed in 1984. Fletcher was shot while policing a demonstration outside the Libyan embassy, and no one has been charged in her death. The Metropolitan Police passed allegations of financial irregularities to Cheshire Police to prevent any conflict of interest, and a property in Mill Hill is currently being searched as part of the investigation.
