A local man in Ioannina was arrested by police for filing a false theft report regarding his vehicle. He claimed that unknown individuals had stolen his parked car. However, during the investigation, officers found the car being driven by the owner himself. The false report was allegedly intended to secure compensation from an insurance company for the purported theft. The case file will be submitted to the Ioannina Prosecutor’s Office.
