Marios Papadopoulos has been elected as the new president of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce (VET) after his coalition, ‘Initiative for the Craft World’, won 23 out of 41 seats in the recent elections, achieving 56.59% of the votes. His main opponent, Anastasios Kapnopoulos’s ‘Craft Alliance’, secured 13 seats, while Kyriakos Tsaltampasidis’s ‘Union of Craftsmen – New Horizons’ obtained 5 seats. A total of 2,207 votes were cast, with 15 ballots deemed invalid.
