Mass Protest in Florina Demands Wage Increases and Job Security
A significant turnout marked the protests in Florina as part of the nationwide strike organized by GSEE and ADEDY. Workers, retirees, farmers with their tractors, and students gathered in the central square demanding measures against rising costs, wage increases, collective labor agreements, and affordable housing. A key demand was to prevent the closure of the Meliti Power Plant and secure job positions for all workers, including temporary and contract employees.
