Mayo GAA Delays Approval of 2024 Accounts Amid Tax Review
Mayo GAA has announced it cannot finalize its 2024 accounts due to ongoing engagement with the Revenue Commissioners regarding a potential tax liability of €119,778. This liability stems from outstanding tax issues related to the Cúl Camps program from 2018 and 2019. The organization is currently undergoing a voluntary review to ensure compliance with tax guidelines, hoping to resolve the matter in the coming months. Seamus Tuohy, chairperson of Mayo GAA, emphasizes the importance of proactive engagement for all county boards in Ireland regarding tax treatment of expenses.
