The Medical Association of Arcadia has expressed surprise at the joint decision by the Ministries of Health and Finance regarding underserved areas eligible for incentives to attract specialized doctors. They argue that the Tripoli General Hospital, the only one in the region, should be classified as an ‘underserved type A’ facility, highlighting its geographical significance and specialized departments that serve many patients. Inclusion would benefit doctor salaries, ranking, and career progression.
