Medical laboratory scientists in Ireland have overwhelmingly voted in favor of industrial action due to staff shortages. The Medical Laboratory Scientists Association (MLSA) has accused the Health Service Executive (HSE) of failing to fill vacant posts. MLSA Chairperson Mairead Ní Mhuimhneacháin stated that discussions will take place with other health unions regarding the most effective action plans for 2025, including potential strike action.
