Over 22,000 reports indicated issues with Facebook, while more than 18,000 users reported problems with WhatsApp. Meta acknowledged the technical issues and assured users that they were working on solutions. The outage, which began around 18:00 GMT, impacted users in multiple regions, including the UK, Europe, Asia, and the US. This incident echoes a previous major outage in 2021 that lasted nearly six hours.
