A power outage caused a train of the Thessaloniki Metro to stall, prompting passengers to exit via the tunnel’s pedestrian walkway. The incident occurred between the ‘Fleming’ and ‘Euclid’ stations on the route to the New Railway Station. The operating company, Thema, reported that the evacuation was carried out safely according to established protocols. Nikos Tachiaos, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, affirmed that all necessary safety measures were in place for the Metro’s operation.
