The International Labour Organization noted that the percentage of migrants in high-income regions, particularly in Europe, North America, and Arab states, has grown. This increase is linked to aging populations and rising caregiving needs. While employment among migrants rose, they faced higher unemployment rates compared to local populations, influenced by barriers such as language, unrecognized qualifications, and discrimination.
