Miguel Bonnefoy Wins 2024 Femina Prize for ‘Le Rêve du jaguar’
Miguel Bonnefoy, a 37-year-old Franco-Venezuelan author, has won the 2024 Femina Prize for his novel ‘Le Rêve du jaguar,’ which interweaves personal and national history of Venezuela. The award was announced on November 5 during a jury meeting at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris. Bonnefoy, who previously received the Grand Prix du roman de l’Académie française, expressed his joy at receiving a prize he had awaited for a decade. He narrowly defeated Emma Becker by a vote of five to four, continuing a successful year in his literary career.
