Mihalis Chrysochoidis Announces Permanent Police Presence at Thessaloniki Metro
Mihalis Chrysochoidis, Greece’s Minister for Citizen Protection, has announced the deployment of 65 police officers at the Thessaloniki Metro to enhance passenger safety and infrastructure security. This decision, made during his visit to the city, highlights the temporary presence of 35 officers which will soon be replaced by the newly recruited officers after completing their training. Chrysochoidis emphasized the importance of securing the metro against minor crimes and other safety issues as the metro expands.
