Mild Weather Delays Ski Season in the Alps

The ski season in the Alps is facing delays due to abnormally mild and dry weather, with temperatures at Weissfluhjoch reaching a record 12.7 degrees Celsius. With minimal snowfall for nearly a month, many ski resorts have struggled to produce artificial snow. However, cooler nighttime temperatures are now allowing ski resorts to activate snow cannons. Additionally, light snowfall is expected above 1000 to 1500 meters, offering some relief from the persistent high-pressure conditions that have dominated the weather.
