Ryan Borgwardt, a 45-year-old man who staged his own death while fishing in Wisconsin, has reappeared, sending a video to authorities to prove he is alive. Following an extensive 54-day search, police discovered his financial activities suggesting a planned disappearance. Sheriff Mark Podoll confirmed Borgwardt is safe but remains in an undisclosed location in Eastern Europe. The authorities are attempting to persuade him to return home, especially for the sake of his children ahead of the holidays. Currently, there are no criminal charges against him.
