Municipal Council of Nauplion Opposes Proposed Legal Reforms for Water Supply Companies
The Municipal Council of Nauplion has expressed strong opposition to the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy’s proposal for legislative reforms affecting local Water Supply Companies (DEYA). The council asserts that the proposed bill fails to address critical operational issues such as understaffing and energy concerns and raises constitutional concerns regarding forced mergers of DEYAs. The council is advocating for a dialogue among all relevant ministries and organizations and firmly opposes any forced merger that would burden the municipality with the DEYA’s debt.
