Municipalities in the Thessaloniki region are on alert for a potential snowfall this Sunday, as forecasted by the National Meteorological Service. Local authorities are preparing by equipping snow plows and stocking up on salt. Ignatios Kaitezidis, mayor of Pyliea-Chortiatis, reported that they are ready for any eventuality with 21 snow plows and 2,000 tons of salt. Furthermore, updates will be communicated to residents via SMS regarding safety measures and public service areas. The municipality of Thessaloniki is also awaiting updated weather forecasts.
